Description
Digital refractometers for Brix measurements
Digital refractometers are optical instruments that use the measurement of the refractive index to determine the % Brix of sugar (MA871), % of fructose (MA872), % of glucose (MA873) and the % invert sugar (MA881) in aqueous solutions.
Its use is simple and quick. Samples are measured after a simple calibration with deionized or distilled water. In a matter of seconds, our instruments measure the refractive index of the sample and convert it to 1 TP3T Brix or 1 TP3T in weight concentration units.
Digital refractometers eliminate the uncertainty associated with mechanical refractometers and are easy to transport for field measurements.
The temperature-compensated measurement technique is in accordance with the methods of ICUMSA (internationally recognized body for Sugar Analysis).
The temperature (in °C or °F) appears simultaneously with the measurement on the two-level LCD screen, as well as icons and other useful codes and messages.
Key features include:
• Two-level LCD
• Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC)
• Easy Setup and Storage
• Low Battery Power Indicator (BEPS)
• Automatic shut-off after 3 minutes of non-use
