The Levenhuk DTX 700 LCD digital microscope is designed for studying opaque objects. It is suitable for working with jewelry, circuit boards, minerals, coins, and metal sections. This microscope is also useful for home use, for example, for studying insects and plants. The Levenhuk DTX 700 LCD model is equipped with an LCD screen, which reduces eye strain during prolonged use and is more comfortable than looking through the eyepiece of a traditional microscope.

Images are captured by a 5MP digital camera. The camera provides 10–300x magnification, and an additional zoom allows viewing objects at up to 1200x magnification. The resulting vivid and detailed image is displayed on a built-in LCD screen. The built-in camera also allows you to take photos and record videos. The control buttons are located just below the screen. They are used to adjust photo and video quality, enable and disable time-lapse photography, select circular video mode, and set the date and time.

This microscope is self-contained and requires no external connection. A memory card is required to save photos and videos (sold separately). The microscope can be connected to an external monitor, television, or computer. The kit includes all necessary cables and software. Note: The software for installation on a computer allows you to measure objects (line, radius, diameter, three-point angle). This software also allows you to add additional images and text to the images captured by the microscope.

The microscope's illumination system consists of eight bright, adjustable-brightness LED lamps. A built-in polarizing filter reduces glare when studying shiny objects.

The microscope operates on either an AC power supply or a built-in battery, allowing for continuous operation for three hours.
