Counting colonies by eye is a slow, tedious, and eye-straining task. The IUL Colony Counter simplifies and accelerates this process using LED illumination and a high-quality magnifying lens. Any microbiology lab involved in colony enumeration will find this tool absolutely vital. Petri dishes are inserted into the colony counter where they are properly illuminated and magnified. Operators can mark detected colonies with a specially designed marker, while a digital display will tally the total counts. Pointers that can make direct contact with the colonies are also available.
