Description
Digital refractometers only for measuring juice and wine
The MA882, MA883, MA884, and MA885 are optical instruments that measure based on the refractive index of a solution. Measuring the refractive index is simple and fast, providing a recognized method for sugar analysis. Samples are measured after a simple calibration with deionized or distilled water. In a matter of seconds, the instrument measures the refractive index of the grape. These digital refractometers eliminate the uncertainty associated with mechanical refractometers and are easy to transport for field measurements.
All four instruments use internationally recognized methods for unit conversion and temperature compensation.
• MA882 (Juices) Range 0 to 50% Brix;
• MA883 (Juices) Range 0 to 28% Baumé; 0.0 to 80.0ºC
• MA884 (Wine) Range 0 to 50% Brix and Potential Alcohol (% vol) / 0 to 25% v/v Pot alcohol;
• MA885 (Juices) Range 0 to 50% Brix / 0 to 230°Oechsle (°Oe) / 0 to 42º KMW.
The temperature (in °C or °F) appears simultaneously with the measurement on the two-level LCD screen, as well as icons and other useful codes and messages.
