Description
Digital refractometer for measuring sodium chloride in aqueous solutions used in food preparation MA886
It is not suitable for measuring salinity in seawater. The refractive index measurement is simple and fast, using a commonly accepted method for NaCl analysis. Samples are measured after a simple calibration with deionized or distilled water. In a matter of seconds, the instrument measures the refractive index of the solution. This digital refractometer eliminates the uncertainty associated with mechanical refractometers and is easy to transport for field measurements.
The instrument uses an internationally recognized method for unit conversion and temperature compensation. It can display the NaCl concentration measurement in four different modes: g/100g, g/100mL, specific gravity, and °Baumé. The temperature (in °C or °F) is displayed simultaneously with the measurement (in three of the ranges) on the two-level LCD screen, along with icons and other useful codes and messages.
Key features include:
• Two-level LCD
• Automatic Temperature Compensation (ATC)
• Easy Setup and Storage
• Low Battery Power Indicator (BEPS)
• Automatic shut-off after 3 minutes of non-use
