The static separator is the ideal machine for separating solids from wastewater of any type. It doesn't use a motor and, because it requires no electrical installation, can be placed virtually anywhere. It's a simple, affordable, yet highly efficient instrument that can operate for extended periods without supervision or clogging. Filtration occurs through a triangular-profile screen, consisting of horizontal, triangular-shaped bars. The liquid is separated from the solids as they flow downwards, thanks to kinetic energy. The distance between the bars can vary from 0.25 to 3 mm depending on the material being separated. The screens can be flat or curved. Using curved screens offers several advantages, such as uniform inflow (utilizing the entire screen surface), high flow velocity, and increased classification effectiveness.
